UNS Controsand is an expansive line of natural aquarium sands and gravels designed for planted aquariums and aquascaping. Available in several styles, each type produces a different result that adds the finishing touch to your aquascape layout. Available in two bag sizes to accommodate all tank sizes! We recommend 3L bags for nano aquariums up to the UNS 45U rimless tank. For sizes larger than the UNS 60U, consider the 8L bag size. Controsand is a natural product and is safe for all planted tank and freshwater aquarium applications. Rinsing is recommended before use to remove finer grains and ensure a crystal clear start. Shop all planted aquarium substrates!
UNS Controsand Mojave
APPROXIMATE GRAIN SIZE: 0.4 - 0.9MM
Mojave is a fine natural sand containing a mixture of warmer tones. Mojave provides a subtle effect that is great for aquariums that are inspired by natural scenes. Its warm hues work well in aquariums containing Dragon Ohko Stone or driftwood. View it in action below where we used it as the primary substrate for our 17 gallon nature-style planted tank.
